HOSTING
Website delivery
Cloudflare serves this website. Requests to load it share technical data with Cloudflare, including your IP address, requested URL and browser information, for delivery and security.
ANALYTICS
What this site measures
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page and performance metrics, including page views, referrers and country-level geography. The analytics service does not use cookies or browser fingerprinting to track individual visitors.
VIDEO
Embedded films
The Studios page embeds YouTube players in privacy-enhanced mode. Your browser can contact YouTube when a player loads, before you press Play. YouTube processes technical and playback data under Google's privacy policy. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no data reaches YouTube.
BROWSER
Cookies and local guide
The website's own code does not set cookies or store visitor profiles in your browser. Embedded services and external sites have their own practices. Questions typed into Ask DVC are handled in the current page; the guide does not send or save them.
CONTACT
If you email us
We use your email address, name and message to respond and, if agreed, to provide services. Incoming email is handled through Apple's iCloud Mail service. We do not sell or rent contact information or add enquiries to a marketing list.
SCHEDULING
If you book a call
Our call links go to Cal.com, a separate service with its own privacy policy. Cal.com holds the details you enter and shares them with us so we can arrange the call.

OVERVIEW
Moment collects nothing
Moment is an ambient clock. It is built to be quiet, and that includes how it treats your data. We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
LOCATION
Location
With your permission, Moment uses your device's location (While Using the App) solely to show local weather and to place the sun and moon accurately for your sky. Your coordinates are sent directly from your device to the weather service (Open-Meteo) to fetch conditions; they are never stored by us and are not linked to your identity. If you decline location access, Moment falls back to coarse, IP-based geolocation (ipapi.co) for the same purpose.
THIRD PARTIES
Third-party services
Moment fetches content from public services over HTTPS. Only the minimum needed for each request is sent, and none of it identifies you: Open-Meteo for weather and air quality (receives approximate coordinates); Wikimedia for "on this day" historical events (receives the calendar date); public horoscope APIs for the daily horoscope (receives a zodiac sign only). Each service processes requests under its own privacy policy. We operate no servers of our own and retain nothing.
ON DEVICE
On-device data
Your preferences (clock style, soundscape mix, themes) are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard mechanisms and never leave it. Deleting the app deletes this data.
CHILDREN
Children
Moment is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
CHANGES
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
